  North Spit Coast Walk

  Join the Trail Stewards and the Friends of the Dunes for an exploration of the beach and dunes from Mad River County Park to the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center. In this five mile hike we will see the effect of 50 years of conservation at the Lanphere Dunes as will as the more recent restoration at the Ma-le'l Dunes. Along the way we will survey the state of the beach and collect marine debris. Meet at 9:00am at the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center for a shuttle to Mad River County Park. Approximate hiking time is three hours. Shuttle space limited; please call to sign-up. Dress in layers, bring a sack lunch, water sunscreen and hat. Cost: $10 /Friends of the Dunes/Humboldt Trails Council members, or $15 for non-members.
