Friends of the Dunes is excited to announce their new fundraiser, Tunes in the Dunes, a concert celebrating coastal conservation! Join them on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 4:00 PM  to 8:00 PM at the stunning Humboldt Coastal Nature Center in Manila, CA. Get ready for an unforgettable evening filled with live music from beloved local bands, The Compost Mountain Boys and A Banjo Makes 3. Enjoy delicious food and beverages, family-friendly activities, and more, while supporting our mission to conserve the natural diversity of coastal environments through education and stewardship programs.

Dance to the rhythm of live bluegrass music as you soak in breathtaking ocean views, sip on artisanal ginger beer, delightful cocktails, and refreshing mocktails. Meet Bluefoot from Blue Lake Casino while enjoying Powers Creek Brewery’s finest beers, and cheers to the biodiverse wonders of the dunes. Bid on fantastic local artwork, exclusive experiences, staycations, and much more at our silent auction. For those 21+, everyone is a winner at the Wine Pull! Indulge in culinary delights such as freshly grilled Humboldt Bay oysters, seafood by Brett Shuler Fine Catering, and additional local vendors available for purchase. Raise a glass to coastal conservation and enjoy a night that promises both fun and purpose. This event not only provides an incredible experience but also plays an important role in advancing our conservation priorities and helps us offer free environmental education programs for children and adults across Humboldt County.

Tickets cost $40, with a special $5 discount for Friends of the Dunes members and includes one food/beverage token. Tickets can be purchased online at friendsofthedunes.org/tunes or in person at the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center, 220 Stamps Ln in Manila, and at Wildberries Marketplace during open hours.
