Friends of the Dunes'
Join the Friends of the Dunes this October for our community science biodiscovery project! You don’t need to be an expert- this is about the power of community science! All ages and skill levels are welcome to submit their findings. Your contributions will be used to create online plant and animal guides for the public to use.
How do you participate?
Photograph what you see and share your findings to iNaturalist from October 18 -31. Make sure to join the project “Friends of the Dunes 2021 Bioblitz”
New to iNaturalist? No problem!
1. Join for free from iNaturalist.org or download the app for iPhone and Android
2. Check out the video tutorials from the iNaturalist Help page
3. Make a few test observations around your yard to get the hang of it.
4. Join the “Friends of the Dunes Oct 2021 BioBlitz” project and get ready to post your observations!
When? Oct 18th- Oct 31st
Where? Humboldt Coastal Nature Center and at the Samoa Dunes and Wetlands Conservation Area
