Training begins in September

The Coastal Naturalist Training is an extensive program designed to educate interested community members about local coastal habitats. Sessions are led by experts, including professors, geologists, botanists, biologists, historians and long-time naturalists.

Everyone is welcome to take the training. The training is free for Friends of the Dunes volunteers or those willing to become volunteers. There is a very reasonable fee $60 ($50 for members, seniors and students) for those who wish to take the training without the volunteer commitment.
